The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has had a significant impact on the European live music industry due to national lockdown measures to control the spread of the virus. Based on data provided by music venues and clubs that are a member of the European network for live music associations, it was estimated that there would be a 76 percent decline in audience visits in 2020. Venues also suffered income losses on ticket sales, as well as food and beverage, and other revenue streams.
