As of April 2020 in Morocco, 51 percent of households that had children in primary schools lacked necessary equipment or support, such as television and internet connection, which would otherwise enable them to efficiently partake in distant learning activities. This channel of educational participation was put in place as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Moreover, while 7.1 percent of the respondent households with children in primary education lacked a parent or adult support to access courses, 13.2 percent of them lacked interest in distant learning opportunities. Overall, compared to households with children in middle and secondary schools, the frequency of distance learning participation was found to be generally lower among households with enrollees in primary education.
