According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight on online travel agencies (OTA) usage in June 2023, 60 percent of Malaysians surveyed booked their travel accommodation such as hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments, and more on online travel agencies months before their trip. This sentiment is also shared by other Malaysian respondents when it comes to booking travel services.
