As surveyed by Infocus Mekong in January 2021 in Vietnam, consumers in the rural area had higher spending intention for most categories than urban consumers, except for household utilities and household care. The highest-spending intention among rural consumers was in transportation while household utilities topped the intention to spend among urban respondents.
