In 2021, Colombia registered around 3.3 thousand mumps cases, the largest number in Latin American and Caribbean countries. In turn, Brazil had the largest number of measles cases that same year, with 668 patients. In 2020, more than 105 thousand deaths due to measles were averted in the Americas due to vaccination.
