In December 2023, around 6,900 barrels of curde oil imports were registered in Ghana. This represented a signifcant decrease from September, when around one million barrels of the product were imported into the country in September 2023. Moreover, within the observed period, crude oil imports peaked in October 2020 at approximately 1.62 million barrels. Overall as of May 2023, Ghana had a crude oil production capacity of 173,000 barrels per day.
