Responsible investing, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) are increasingly touted as the net big investment trend, but in-depth knowledge about this style of investing still remains low among investors themselves. As of 2021, 14 percent of mutual fund investors in Canada had never heard of responsible investing. Meanwhile, only nine percent of the investors said they were very knowledgeable about responsible investing.
