During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, several canceled festivals and shows in Quebec organized virtual version of the events. A December 2020 survey asked people who had joined at least one online event if they would have taken part in the usual event in a no-pandemic scenario. Ultimately, 35 percent of respondents claimed that, if the event had taken place as usual, they would have definitely participated. Meanwhile, 34 percent of the survey sample believed they would have probably attended the event.
