According to a survey on China's digital reading consumers conducted in August 2020, about 45 percent of respondents stated that they liked reading suspense and detective fictions. "Journey Under the Midnight Sun" and "The Lost Tomb" were among the most well-known e-book titles under the genre. Other popular types of content were history, daily life and traditional Chinese literature.
