In a survey conducted in November 2020 in Japan, 39 percent of respondents living in the Tokyo metropolitan area stated that they took advantage of the Go to Eat campaign. According to the survey, Tokyo had the highest share of participating residents among the 47 Japanese prefectures. The Go to Eat campaign is a government-sponsored initiative designed to help the food industry in Japan by encouraging dining out.
