Between 2010 and 2019, the participation of transport and warehousing in the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Dominican Republic surge by more than 125 percent. In that latter year, these industries contributed over 378 billion Dominican pesos to the country's GDP. As of June 2020, the Dominican transportation and storage GDP accounted for 45.5 percent of that value.
