In 2020, domestic credits provided by the financial sector of Chile and El Salvador represented over 110 percent of their gross domestic product (GDP). Meanwhile, financial credits in Nicaragua amounted to 38.3 percent of its GDP that same year. The volume of loans in Chile has remained stable during the last couple of years.
