In Belgium, the public trust in healthcare services and scientific institutions to face the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic was high. In October 2020, 88 percent of Belgian respondents had a lot of trust in healthcare services, and over 72 percent in scientific institutions. However, the share of trusting respondents decreased compared to April.
On the other hand, from April to October, the share of respondents who strongly trusted the regional or national government decreased significantly. In October 2020, only 12 percent of respondents had high trust in either one.
