According to a survey conducted between December 2018 to March 2019, approximately 38.7 percent of students studying in the primary, middle, and high schools in China said that they played online games because they wanted to have common topics with their classmates and friends. Around 33.6 percent of them said that they played online games for excitement and a sense of accomplishment.
