According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on dietary supplements in Vietnam conducted in July 2020, 56 percent of female respondents who took dietary supplements or nutraceuticals stated that their frequency of doing so increased after the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Dietary supplements included herbal or botanical substances, minerals, or vitamins, taken to supplement the diet to improve health.
