According to a survey on gym memberships conducted by Rakuten Insight, around 67 percent of female and 68 percent of male respondents in Malaysia stated that the reason they signed up for their gym was the convenience of location. The same survey found that around 25 percent of Malaysian respondents stated that they had a gym membership.
