In a survey conducted in 2020 in the Philippines, regarding preventing the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), 65 percent of male respondents considered the actions of private businesses and companies in preventing the spread of COVID-19 among their employees and customers to be adequate. Contrastingly, six percent of both male and female respondents considered that the private sector's actions were very inadequate in the Philippines in 2020.

The Social Weather Stations' national mobile phone survey was a probability-based survey conducted using mobile phone and computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) of 1,249 adult Filipinos (18 years old and above) nationwide: 309 in Metro Manila, 328 in Balance Luzon, 300 in the Visayas, and 312 in Mindanao.
