In a survey conducted in 2020, regarding the retail industry in the Asia Pacific region during the coronavirus pandemic, one hundred percent of the surveyed retailers in Australia believed that sales would return to pre-pandemic levels in more than six months. Comparatively, for the same survey 52 percent of surveyed retailers in India believed that sales would return to pre-pandemic levels in more than six months.
