Diverse debut TV shows on streaming services in the United States were 37 times more in demand than the annual average in 2019, up from 20 times more in 2017. Looking at the top 25 in-demand streamed debuts, it was found that the demand for diverse television series rocketed in 2019, outstripping demand for non-diverse debuts. The average demand is shown as an index to the annual average; this means in 2017 diverse shows were 20 times more in-demand than the average.

Non-diverse debut: U.S. first-run television scripted series premiere in which less than 40% of the series regular cast is nonwhite.
