According to a survey on gym memberships conducted by Rakuten Insight, 71 percent of male respondents and 72 percent of female respondents in Indonesia did not have a gym or fitness studio membership. Fitness studios and gyms in Indonesia were affected by the social distancing measures implemented to prevent the spread of the coronavirus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
