In 2019, ETFs accounted for 42 percent of the investment portfolios of Millennials in the United States, yet only 24 percent of Boomers' portfolios. Exchange traded funds are investment funds traded on the stock exchange and the number of ETFs has increased significantly over the past two decades globally.
