Monthly average prices for frozen brushtooth lizardfish in Egypt 2019-2023

As of May 2023, the monthly average price of brushtooth lizardfish in Egypt amounted to 71.32 Egyptian pounds per kilogram (2.3 U.S. dollars per kilogram), which presented a slight increase of 8.92 percent from the preceding month. In the period under review, the price of brushtooth lizardfish in Egypt followed an overall increasing trend. However, the price saw a sudden jump between March and April 2022, as it increased from 35.96 Egyptian pounds (1.16 U.S. dollars) per kilogram to 71.94 Egyptian pounds (2.32 U.S. dollars) per kilogram, before decreasing to 39.37 Egyptian pounds (1.27 U.S. dollars) per kilogram.
