A survey conducted in 2020 revealed that a combined 51 percent of the respondents aged between 25 and 34 years old in the United Kingdom (UK) disagreed that they grew their own food in their garden or allotment to make the planet more sustainable, compared to 47 percent of the 18 to 24 year-olds. A share of 14 percent of the 65 year-olds of older respondents strongly agreed with this statement.
