According to a 2022 survey, around half of the respondents in the Philippines stated that they were confident of the United States as the country's strategic partner. In contrast, four percent of the respondents had no confidence with the US-Philippine partnership.

Original survey question: "How confident are you of the U.S. as a strategic partner and provider of regional security?"
1, 677 respondents from all ten ASEAN member states participated in the 2022 survey, of which 23.9 percent of respondents were from the Philippines. The survey was conducted both online and offline.
