Leading all-time record holders for number of games played in Japan's NPB 2023
As of the end of the 2023 season, Tanishige Motonobu was leading the scoreboard in terms of all-time number of game participations in Japanese Professional Baseball (NPB) with 3,021 appearances. Tanishige started his career in 1989 and played for 27 seasons at various clubs. He was closely followed by Nomura Katsuya with 3,017 appearances.
