According to a survey among nearly six thousand businesses in the United Kingdom at the end of July and beginning of August 2020, nearly 15 percent of enterprises saw their operating costs exceed turnover because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The effect on the real estate sector was also severe but still, slightly milder, with close to eight percent reporting a negative operating profit.
