Turkey was the main destination for recyclable raw materials exports from the European Union (EU-27) in 2023, with shipments amounting to 12.2 million metric tons. India followed, but by a wide margin, at about 5.2 million metric tons. In 2023, the volume of recyclable raw materials exported from the EU-27 to non-EU countries totaled 39.3 million metric tons.
