According to a study conducted in June 2020, almost half of Spaniards over 65 who decided not to go on summer vacations in 2020 did so mainly out of fear of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the case of people between 35 and 55 years of age, the percentage of those who gave up traveling mainly due to fear of the coronavirus was approximately 25 percent.
