According to a 2022 survey, 74.3 percent of respondents in the Philippines were mainly concerned that ASEAN was slow and ineffective, and thus cannot cope with fluid political and economic developments. In contrast, less than a quarter of respondents were concerned about the ASEAN becoming irrelevant in the new world order.

Three responses were allowed.
1, 677 respondents from all ten ASEAN member states participated in the 2022 survey, of which 23.9 percent of respondents were from the Philippines. The survey was conducted both online and offline.
