The weekly year-over-year bookings on Airbnb in Athens have experienced a significant decrease over the period from January to July 2020. The numbers peaked in the week ending January 5 at around 105 percent (representing a 5 percent increase in bookings). However these soon fell following the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), only managing 2.4 percent of last years bookings during the week ending April 26.

Data is based on the review data scraped by Airbtics from Airbnb.com between September 7-22, 2020. Limitation: 80-95% of active listings.
"Active listing" here means a listing that has its first review before 2019 April and its last review after 2020 March, so that the booking difference between 2019 and 2020 can be compared in a more fair way.
The dates refers to the week ending (e.g. Jan 12, 2020 shows the YOY change in number of bookings between January 6-12, 2020).
