As per the results of a survey on Indian food delivery apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2020, majority of respondents across all age groups used food delivery apps more as the country had imposed closure on all restaurants and dining establishments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About 44 percent of respondents aged 55 years and above stated that they ordered more through delivery applications as they practiced social distancing and wanted to minimize the time spent outside the home.

1,771 respondents aged 25 to 34 years old,
570 respondents aged 35 to 44 years old,
147 respondents aged 45 to 54 years,
61 respondents aged 55 years and above.
