According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Indonesia, approximately 53 percent of the respondents aged between 45 and 54 years old stated that they ordered food from food delivery apps less often during the COVID-19 outbreak because they wanted to cook more for themselves and their family. In comparison, 25 percent of the respondents aged between 16 and 24 years old said the reason why they had not used food delivery apps that often was because the delivery fee became higher during this time. The same survey showed that Indonesians mainly ordered dinner on food delivery apps.
