According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Malaysia, approximately 51 percent of the female respondents and 59 percent of the male respondents stated that they ordered food from food delivery apps more often during the COVID-19 pandemic because dining out was not an option due to the COVID-19 measurements.Ten percent of the male respondents said the reason why they used food delivery apps more was because they could not cook. The same survey showed that Malaysians mainly ordered lunch on food delivery apps.
