According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea, around 47.5 percent of respondents aged between 25 and 34 years old stated that their delivery app usage decreased or stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic because food delivery companies increased their fees. Other common reasons included being economically affected by the pandemic and wanting to improve one's diet and health.
