Many industries have had to revise their revenue forecasts downwards as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. After undergoing a major transformation following the boom in audio and video streaming, revenues from the recorded music market have declined sharply since 2002. Originally expected to reach 629 million euros in 2020, revenues have been revised downwards in the wake of the pandemic and are expected to reach 543 million euros in the best case scenario. However, the most pessimistic scenarios estimate that this figure would not exceed 495 million euros the same year.
