In 2018, two out of three Belgian women, aged over 20 years old, had been screened for cervical cancer in the last three years. Since 1997, the share of women of this age who have had a Pap smear (also called cervical or vaginal smear) slightly increased in Belgium.

The share of Belgian women who had a cervical smear has been calculated by using a statistical regression based on the number of respondents, age, gender, and the Belgian population in 2018.
