First founded in 2011, the live streaming video platform, Twitch, is one of the most popular ways in which viewers watch their favorite gamers play a variety of online video games. In order to generate more revenue, the platform implemented a Twitch Partner scheme, which gives members access to additional features such a special promotions and the ability to customize channels. The number of Twitch Partners has been growing significantly over the past years, reaching 51.5 thousand partners worldwide in 2021.
