According to a Capgemini survey conducted from December 2019 to February 2020, adults aged 60 and older were not using the internet for various reasons. The survey revealed that 65 percent of offline U.S. adults aged 60 years or older reported that they were just not interested in using the internet. In comparison, only 38 percent of offline adults from all other age groups reported the same reason.

Of the 5,000 surveyed respondents, approximately 1,300 were people who are currently not online via phone and face-to-face discussions and approximately 3,700 were surveyed via an online survey.
Respondents were from the following countries: France, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, and India.
