Wyoming's electoral votes in U.S. presidential elections 1892-2020

Wyoming has taken part in all U.S. presidential elections since 1892, and has voted for the nationwide winner in 23 of these elections, which gives a success rate of seventy percent. Wyoming has always awarded its electoral votes to major party candidates, having voted for the Republican nominee in 25 elections, and the Democratic nominee in 8 elections. Between 1892 and 1964, Wyoming did not appear to have a strong allegiance to either party (although Republican winning margins did tend to be much higher), but the Equality State has grown "redder" in the past half century, with Republican nominees often securing over two thirds of Wyoming's popular votes in this time. In 2016, Donald Trump won Wyoming with over 68 percent of the popular vote, and this total increased to seventy percent in the 2020 election.

No U.S. president or major party candidate has ever come from Wyoming. With the lowest population of any state, Wyoming's allocation of electoral votes has remained at just three votes throughout election history.
