The Soccer Power Index (SPI) ranks clubs worldwide, using four criteria to analyze their performances, namely goals scored, adjusted goals, shot-based expected goals, and non-shot expected goals. Whereas the adjusted goals metric looks at the conditions under which a goal was scored, the shot-based expected goals metric takes into account the number of shots took in matches and the actual number of scored goals. Finally, the non-shot expected goals metric analyzes non-shooting actions.
