Smartphone buyers worldwide using mobile contactless payments Q4 2019, by region
As of the fourth quarter of 2019, the Asia Pacific region had the highest rate of smartphone buyers using mobile contactless payments. An approximate 46 percent of APAC smartphone buyers used their device to make contactless payments and on average made 8.4 contactless mobile transactions per quarter. In contrast, only 14 percent of smartphone buyers from Europe were using mobile contactless payments.
