Over 85 percent of veterinary professionals who responded to a survey in the United States between October 12 and December 31, 2018, did not believe that raw meat pet diets are healthier than commercial pet foods. On the other hand, some 31 percent of dog owners and 36 percent of cat owners believed that raw options are better for their pets, yet a higher share were also unsure of the health benefits.
