Intervention coverage against malaria in Nigeria 2015-2020
According to a study conducted in 2018, 23 percent of the surveyed children in Nigeria had malaria. Nevertheless, this figure dropped by roughly 20 percentage points compared to 2010.
For 73 percent of children with fever in Nigeria as of 2020, advice or treatment was sought from a health facility or provider. Moreover, approximately half of the children in the country slept under insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs) for protection against malaria.
