What is young Danes' opinion on democracy? Since 2015, support for a democratic political system declined among young people in Denmark, regardless of their origin. While 84 percent of the respondents of non-Western origin supported the Danish democratic system in 2015, the share decreased to 79 percent in 2018. A notable change was also observed among respondents with Western origin, as support for a democratic system decreased from 91 percent in 2015 to 87 percent in 2018.

Respondents of non-Western origin = 739
Respondents of Danish origin = 859
Respondents of other Western origin = 797
The survey was conducted in eight different languages: Danish, English, Arabic, Somali, Turkish, Farsi/Persian, Serbo-Croatian and Urdu.
