Online pharmacy order count in Russia 2018-2024

Russian consumers made 51.5 million orders in online pharmacies in 2023. The number of pharmaceutical goods purchases via the internet has increased steadily in the country since 2018. The highest number of orders were made on the e-commerce platform Apteka.ru, at 46.7 million in 2023.

Russia was the country with the largest share of people who ordered medications online in Europe in 2021, measured at 40 percent. It was followed by other Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, such as Poland, Czechia, and Ukraine.
