Colombia: change in online transactions during COVID-19, by type
While many Colombians are traditionally used to conduct their payments personally, the COVID-19 outbreak followed by the implementation in March 24, 2020 of a mandatory preventive isolation, led people to resort to online solutions to complete their payments. During the month of March, the payment of services through the use of online platforms grew by 71 percent, while money transfers increased 66 percent.
