Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both the business resilience and digital strategy of targets received more attention from executives pursuing M&A. In this global survey, approximately 19 percent of respondents said they look more at the target's business resilience, whereas 18 percent focused more on the target's digital strategy and technology alignment when evaluating the target business.
