This statistic presents the percentage distribution of trips taken within Spanish borders by residents of Spanish households in 2019, by means of transport used. During that year, Spaniards visited most places using their own vehicles, as reveal the latest studies, with about 80 percent of national holidaymakers.

The data correspond to estimates from the Survey of Tourism of Residents of the National Statistics Institute of Spain. Since February 2015, this gives continuity to the Statistics of tourist movements of Spaniards (Familitur) of the General Subdirectorate of Knowledge and Tourist Studies of Spain.
* Visits to places outside the usual residence, with at least one overnight stay and a length of less than one year.
** Own vehicle includes cars, motorcycles, caravans or other private motor vehicles used for land transportation, with a capacity of up to eight seats, owned or transferred free of charge.
*** Another type of transport includes private vehicles rented with or without a driver, taxis, shared vehicles with payment to the driver (direct or through P2P platforms), non-motorized land transport and any other means of transport not included in the categories previous.
