In October 2022, the mean jeonse price of apartments with over 135 square meters (large size) in South Korea amounted to around 780 million South Korean won. Jeonse is a unique housing leasing system in South Korea. A large sum is paid to the landlord for the rental period, which is usually two years. The deposit is returned to the tenants at the end of the two-year contract.
