In a survey conducted in the Asia Pacific region in 2020, regarding the share of respondents who were avoiding public spaces as much as possible during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, 87 percent of Indian respondents stated that they were trying to avoid public spaces as much as possible during the coronavirus outbreak. In comparison, 82 percent of respondents in Japan agreed to the same. A trend with a substantially high percentage of respondents avoiding public spaces during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak emerged during the survey.
